Hi everyone! I am super excited because – for the first time ever – I am participating in Wyrd & Wonder this year! This is basically a celebration of all things fantasy and as fantasy is my favorite genre (though I’ve not been reading enough this year!) this sounded like the perfect fit for me. Honestly I had hoped that, by the time this would be going live, I’d have a bunch of nifty posts lined up. But life got in the way (and my usual procrastination, but, shh).

Now, I’m going to be honest. I don’t know what I’ll get posted. I don’t know what I’ll get read. (I have several book obligations in May that are not fantasy. Even for how much I stretched by usual definition of fantasy for my TBR.) As for the challenge prompts… They look lovely, but I find myself without much to say about them, so I’ll hopefully be visiting more than I’ll be posting. (Once a week would be the most I could probably manage to post anyway, with my schedule.)

Finally, before we get to the reason you’re here, I’ve been scanning through the planned posts. They look amazing, everyone! I have high hopes that I’ll be expanding my TBR this month!

    1. Yeah, I’ve heard hardly anything about Beneath the Citadel, but it’s been on my radar for something like two years and I’ve been super looking forward to reading it. I’ve dabbled a bit in Discworld and have had a blast with them – I figured it was well past time I read the first in the Death arc because 5-6 Christmas’ ago, I read Hogfather and had so much fun with it!

    1. I totally understand that! A TBR is very useful to me, because otherwise I will sit here all month, looking at the books I want to read, but not read any of them because I can’t make my mind up. I’m very indecisive that way.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy whichever books you do decide to read.

  1. Hallo, Hallo Amy,

Welcome, welcome to #WyrdAndWonder !! There are actually three of us who founded and co-host this event together: Imyril @ There’s Room for One More; Lisa @ Dear Geek Place and me (Jorie) @ Jorie Loves A Story. Also, you forgot to post the attribution for the Wyrd And Wonder banner – please add it to this post as its not supposed to be used without the attribution/sources listed.

Outside of that — we’re happy to have you — its our fourth year and its becoming one of our largest events by far!! The beauty is being able to celebrate Fantasy everyway you want too and to become part of the community of Wyrd And Wonder in the process. Always good to have a monthly TBR and I hope you’ll find loads of wonder in the stories you’ll be reading this May.

    1. Thanks for letting me know! I did search to see if it there were co-hosts, but couldn’t find it mentioned anywhere. I’ll go straighten everything up right now.
